CODE A-8This model is an
extension of our Mawar model. A veranda has been added. The
same flexibility as described for our Mawar model in choice of floor plan
lay out and choice of door and window types is maintained. The unit has a
sided area of 21 m2
(226 sqft) and a veranda area of 13.2 m2. The unit can accommodate a queen size double bed, has a small
bathroom and there is even space for a kitchenette. The siding options are
countless; a Bali style carved front door, or a full glass door, or a
panel door, Bali style hatches, square windows, large windows, different
floor lay-outs, just name it. As long as the quare footprint of 4.80 x
4.80 meter (15' - 9" x 15' - 9") does not change you may create your
own lay out. The units have single board sidings. All door- and window
hardware is copper or brass. The unit has an open structure, hence no
ceilings, except for the bathroom which is fitted with bamboo matting. The
roof section is made from trusses, rafters and purlins (all in
sight) respectively covered with bamboo matting, plywood and thatch,
wood shingles, ceramic tiles or corrugated sheathing. The standard house has single board sidings. Floor
-and siding boards are 25 mm thick (1"). All wood used is Bangkirai (beams
columns, boards, trusses). All fixtures (screws and bolts) are stainless
steel, grade 304. Not one nail is used, hence the re-assembly process is
fast and simple. Both the exterior and the interior are treated with 2
layers of Cetol polyurethane coat. The kit comes with a set of assembly
drawings and a detailed assembly manual which includes pictures taken
during the pre-assembly process. Optionally we can provide the plumbing
and electrical lay out drawings. The unit can be re-assembled with little
manpower, however, it is advised that some DIY experience is available.
